"What an honor it is to serve on an organizational board with such a noble and needed mission. It is very humbling to have the opportunity to serve with people and organizations who put 'service above self' and embrace the opportunity and challenge of helping the surrounding communities in such a broad variety of ways. I strive to make sure that the Carlsbad Police Department and our mission aligns with the goals and visions of Affirming Heart Victim Services and challenge my own department to successfully evolve to meet the growing needs of the community we serve. Through the effort of collaboration we strive to provide those in need and in crisis with the tools and resources to continue on a better path forward."
